Date Ideas for Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day is coming up, and that means now is a great time to start planning your celebrations here in Malden, MA. Today the Cliffside Commons Blog has ideas for things you can do, in or out of the apartment, to have a sweet, fun, memorable Valentine’s Day date this year.
Skip the crowds.
The classic date of fine dining at a nice restaurant may be just what your date is hoping for. If it’s not, however, you can always skip the pricey meals, tiny portions, busy crowds, and long wait times by staying in your apartment and cooking up a fancy dinner yourself! Be sure to curate a romantic table setting to set the mood. For food ideas, we recommend this Braciole or this seafood gnocchi with white wine sauce for dinner and this artichoke heart, mushroom, and pine nut filled ravioli and tiramisu layer cake for dessert.
Even if you keep it casual, you can have a lot of fun making memories cooking together, watching your favorite movie together, or simply enjoying great conversation.
While the Malden weather is still pretty chilly, you can enjoy the great outdoors with a great hike or stroll through a park, or you can head to an indoor gym and do an activity like rock climbing. This is a great way to prepare for a big meal later, or to simply get your body moving and your competitive spirit going!
If there’s ever a time to pull out all the stops when it comes to romance and cheesiness, Valentine’s Day is it! Make a heartfelt Valentine’s Day card or gift, reminisce on your time together, and talk about your plans, hopes, and dreams for the future. Do all of this over a nice meal or a laid-back activity to end the evening on a positive note.
Try something new together.
Learning a new hobby is always a fun undertaking; doing so with someone you care about is especially meaningful. Whether you take a cooking, painting, or dancing class together, it’ll be something you can fondly laugh or reminisce on, long after this Valentine’s Day!
